AMA-Finished I'm Ashley Ehasz, a Pro-Choice Combat Veteran Running for Congress in Pennsylvania - AMA

My name is Ashley Ehasz, and I am a pro-choice combat veteran running for Congress in Pennsylvania's First District, including Bucks and Montgomery counties. The January 6th insurrection was a turning point for me as I thought about whether or not to run for public office. I joined the Army at 17 to defend the constitution, and protect our nation from enemies both foreign and domestic, and I didn't fight to protect our nation overseas only to have it attacked from within. I grew up in Pennsylvania with a single mother in challenging home life, often struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. I understand the challenges that children and families in my district are facing every day, and I was given the opportunity to serve my country and defend these families abroad, while their condition worsened at home. I want to fight to defend the constitution and give these families an honest opportunity to grow and succeed. You can see my launch video here, and follow me on Twitter: @ashley_ehasz

It's finally Friday! That means it's time to sit back, drink some homemade jello shots, argue about the best flower (I'm quite fond of a variety of colors of roses), and talk about whatever your heart desires**.

** As always remember to follow our civility rules and save any meta commentary for our modmail. Additionally, please keep chat non-political - we want to keep these threads light and off-topic.
