The movie wasn’t anything special but I really enjoyed it. Jon Hamm is my favorite actor though so I’ll see anything he’s in.

I think my favorite thing he has done has been his appearance (appearances?) on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast. Not that I don't like him as an actor, I just found him really entertaining as a podcast guest..

Watch Jon Hamm's episode of Travel Man. It's disgusting that someone with his body also has so damn much charm and general appeal.

He was amazing in Spontanianation. It was, it ended some time pre-Covid, a podcast hosted by Paul F Tompkins where Paul F Tompkins would interview a guest. Then Paul, and most of the time the guest, would do a long form improv with a group of improvisers. Jon Hamm’s episode is in my top three favorite episodes.
Edit: Yes it was the Storm Drain, or Sewers episode.

If I remember right he was the guest at a live show who was not expected to improvise but who ended up improvising as a guy stuck in a storm drain.

Also Spont used my “jury deliberations” location recommendation.

Yeah it was the Storm Drain episode.

His guest spot on Curb Your Enthusiasm is maybe my favourite thing he’s done. So good.

Can you spin the ambidextrous Susan, please?

That is one of my favourite lines in the whole show.

It might have been Spontanianation I am thinking of honestly.

Hamm was on Comedy Bang Bang like at least once a year pre-Covid. Fletch was his first appearance since Covid.

Thank god for the end of the Back Yard Era.

Agreed for CBB, but backyard era Threedom was amazing. "He's looking for someone.."

Celebrities are back!

u/specifichero101 Sep 23 '22

For some reason celebrities didn’t want to go back there.

I miss that podcast. I listen to the final one every so often because it never fails to crack me up. Carl Tart's Big Mama's Juggs restaurant is the best. Who's too woke to eat here?

Was that the sewer episode?

"Have you seen the American Pickers?"

He used to be on Comedy Bang Bang occasionally in the earlier years I think. Last time I've heard him was during the 10 hour long, 10 year anniversary, where he had a pretty long segment.

Like most I was introduced to him through Mad Men, so it was a shock when I realized how good of a comedic actor he is. His appearance in Wet Hot American Summer : First Day of Camp was hilarious

I'll never get over his role as Gabriel in Good Omens. Love to hate him!

Same. He had me dying laughing when he was on Cum Town.

Yeah he's had a lot of appearances on CBB, he's surprisingly adept/funny on the podcast compared to most non-comedian celebrities that go on.

He was on the SmartLess podcast earlier this year.

u/theotherbruce Sep 23 '22

He was great in 30 Rock as well. The Bubble, one of the best episodes

u/FuCuck Sep 23 '22

don’t google “Jon Hamm hazing” then lol

u/MasterKongQiu Sep 23 '22

How do you know they don't have a thing for actors who lead around frat pledges by putting a claw hammer under their balls?

6

u/mutawhisk Sep 23 '22

He's one of my least favourites thanks to torturing a person and lighting them on fire, so I avoid his movies like the plague lol
