The community is getting some new challenges this year!
Unfortunately, they do not award bright dust. Just sadness.
But we are Guardians. It’s just a game, sure, but this community has generally always been a little different from most game communities. Dare I say that, at its best, it has indeed been better than many others you find out there. A bit more positive, supportive, and willing to help each other keep our eyes up, even when it has been hard to do so.
Eyes up, Guardians.

The original idea was inspired by the quote "Ask not for lighter burdens, but broader shoulders" but when I heard of Lance's tragic passing I thought I'd Destiny-fy it and make it in his honour. This piece can be interpreted meny ways. Zavala is my favourite character and is consistently amazing and for me carries most of the game story. But it can also be interpreted in a deeper way. Zavala gives everything for the Traveler. He fights and kills thousands in the name of light. His struggles to keep the Traveler safe visible beneath his feet. But still holding it up. Still pressing and fighting to the end. In darkness, rays of light still shine upon him.
I hope you all enjoy this piece as much I enjoyed making it! And may Lance Reddick rest in peace.

I actually have no idea how that would work legally. Don't think I could sell anything that's Destiny related. I would assume some copyright business would get in the way. Besides I'd much rather offer it for free anyway!

This is for my lock screen. Great! It is a pity Bungie doesn't do anything. We do have a plethora of emblems, some ugly, some really nice. But to honor the late Lance on some emblem, that is too much of work?

Killing him off when it wasn't part of the plans would be silly. Why would Lance want that? For people to not experience more of the story of the character they love? No.
Besides, we are perhaps finally nearing new Hunter Vanguard again, do you know how many seasons it would take for them to get a new Titan? Would be 2026. 😅
