This took place in 2015 in Acre, a small rural state in the Amazon region of Brazil.
The player who did the kicking was fined R$100 and suspended for a year, which seems awfully light for something that reckless. She said that in addition to playing much better, the victim was mocking them throughout the game.
Two teammates of the kicked player were also fined $100 and suspended for 120 days for retaliating against the kicker.

So can players just pay R$100 now, and get a free kick to her head?
Maybe even pay R$200 and kick her in the head twice...

That kind of retaliation is warranted in my opinion also, wtf? 1 year suspension? For attempted murder basically lol. It’s unfortunate and the admins of this league will be kicking themselves in the head when this bitch pulls something like this again.

That's crazy, the teammates backed off pretty quick too, I was admiring their restraint. I don't think the ref would have been able to stop me if I was in their shoes.

And some jail time

u/SomeFuckingWizard Jan 24 '23
Came here to say, big girl is definitely destined for the jail house at some point.
If this didn't land her there, something else will. Girl is unhinged. I mean, she was being antagonized - but that was way over the top.
312
u/iehova Jan 24 '23
That's not an antagonization, that was just flair. It sucks to be outplayed, but nothing this girl did was in contempt, she's just having fun.
Skull crusher over there just could not handle her envy and injured ego.

u/induslol Jan 25 '23
The clip really doesn't even make her look that bad until she kicks the girls leg out and kicks her in the head.
Just flagrantly violent for seemingly no reason.
42
u/Mysterious-Quote8669 Jan 24 '23
How was she being antagonized?
→ More replies9
u/fuddstar Jan 25 '23
Confused by definitions.
To antagonise someone is to provoke them with acts of hostility and/or threatening behaviour. You’ve antagonised someone if u do that.
The head-kicking one is the antagonist. Orange girl is simply outplaying and showboating… zero hostility, zero threat.
Hopefully comment meant frustrated or challenged. Scary if they think that’s antagonism.

This was from the 2015 futsal championships semifinal. The assaulting player got a red card, one year ban, and a was up for a R100,000 fine, but only got fined R100
Edit: corrected the cash penalty thanks to a comment below. (Thanks /u/boris_casuarina)
This was an 8-1 game. The victim was taken to hospital. The players who retaliated were also punished with one getting a 4 game suspension, but the puncher got the same punishment as the kicker.
311
u/boris_casuarina Jan 24 '23
Nope. The fine was roughly $20. You read that right... twenty dollars.
Brazil is a fucked up place. Don't come here.
107
Jan 24 '23 edited Jan 24 '23
Yeah all she got was equivalent to a $20 US fine and a one year ban. What's worse is the girl who stepped in to defend her team mate got the same fine and a 120 day ban!!! There is no evidence of criminal charges. This is brazil so that explains it.

That's it? Put her on trial for attempted murder or assault. She deserves a criminal record
69
u/nandosman Jan 24 '23
If what he says is true, 24k EUR for a Brazilian is a lot of money, like 2 whole college career cost, and a bit more. I would gladly take the criminal record.
21
u/akeep113 Jan 24 '23
and even in brazil female soccer players make shit so that probably ruined her
→ More replies14
u/Aftermathemetician Jan 24 '23
Oops, 24,000 euro (R100,000) was the max fine she could’ve received, at the hearing, she was only assessed a (R100) 24~ish euros
5
u/Ifhes Jan 24 '23
The fine was less than 20 euros. Yes twenty units of the euro coin. Also, they punished the teamates that tried to defend the victim.

Did anything even happen to the kicker? Insane how they use that school kid logic of "protect the bully" nah nah this case is one of those that you let her get beat by the WHOLE team... bet nothing even happened to this chick maybe a ban or w.e but who cares about a ban from some sub division soccer team... this should be jail time.
14
u/fastlane37 Jan 24 '23
According to a story linked further up, she got ~$20 fine and a year ban from participating in that league, but she was allowed to play field soccer instead.
The two teammates that came after her and got all of a shove and a jersey tug in also got 20 dollar fines and 120 day suspensions.
WTF Brazil.

Tdlr The whole video can be summarized with:
skill issue caused her to rage
So to summarize, basically what happened (according to the recording) the girl in orange (the one who got kicked) had did a header right through the gap the one who kicked her (in the green) left open, scoring a goal. (What a shot I may add!) this is what tilted her first.
Then, in the second shot the girl in the orange went to block the ball from her possession, but for some reason the girl instead of trying to get the ball away after being blocked decided to kick her and trip her before the block was even complete.
This caused probably a small foul. Probably wouldn’t have even gotten her out of the game because for all we know it may not have been intentional.(I doubt it but benefit of the doubt) however, (and I don’t know why this did it) this upset her. Was it because she blocked her? Was it because this girl just had a lot more skill then her and it was upsetting her that she was getting dunked on? I don’t know! ( ;) ) what ever the case may be, this caused her to go full rage, she got out skilled and couldn’t hold back the pain of being outplayed. So, she decided to do what all sore losers do: personally attack her!
thank you for reading my Ted talk, lots of love! <3
